Policies

The following policies outline the operational, ethical, and editorial principles that govern the publication of articles in JSERS. These are designed to ensure transparency, academic integrity, and high publishing standards.

1Open Access Policy

SJ-SERS provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

2. Peer Review Policy

All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two qualified reviewers in the relevant field.

·         The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

·         Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.

·         Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers' recommendations and editorial standards.

3. Plagiarism Policy

SJ-SERS maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism and academic misconduct.

·         All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin).

·         Submissions found to contain unoriginal content, self-plagiarism, or citation manipulation will be rejected or retracted.

4. Publication Ethics and Malpractice

The journal follows ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Detailed guidelines are outlined in the Publication Ethics section.

5. Archiving Policy

S-JSERS utilizes the LOCKSS/CLOCKSS and OAI-PMH systems for digital preservation and long-term archiving. Articles remain accessible even in the event of website disruption.

6. Withdrawal and Retraction Policy

·         Authors may withdraw their manuscript at any stage before acceptance by submitting a formal request to the editor.

·         Articles may be retracted post-publication in cases of proven plagiarism, data falsification, or serious ethical violations. A retraction notice will be issued accordingly.

7. Copyright Policy

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant SJ-SERS the right to publish under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Authors are allowed to distribute and reuse their work with proper citation.

8. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

JSERS does not charge any submission or publication fees.
Publishing in this journal is entirely free of charge for authors.
