AI Policy

The Islamic Studies and Education Journal (ISEJ) recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools may assist authors in manuscript preparation. Their use must be transparent, responsible, and consistent with the principles of research integrity.

Acceptable Use

AI tools may be used to support:

• language editing;
• grammar improvement;
• formatting; and
• writing assistance.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts.

Authorship

Artificial Intelligence systems or generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility or accountability for scholarly work.

Disclosure

Where AI tools have made a substantial contribution to manuscript preparation, authors should disclose their use in the manuscript.
