Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Emerging Economics and Business (JEEB) is committed to safeguarding academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published works. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

·         Copying text, ideas, data, or results from other works without proper acknowledgment.

·         Presenting another author’s work as one’s own.

·         Inadequate citation or paraphrasing.

·         Self-plagiarism or redundant publication without disclosure.

·         Improper reuse of previously published material.

Similarity Screening

All submitted manuscripts are subject to similarity checks using recognized plagiarism detection software. The screening may occur at multiple stages of the editorial process, including after acceptance.

Similarity reports are evaluated carefully by the editors, and not all matches constitute misconduct. Properly cited quotations, references, or common terminology are taken into consideration.

Acceptable Limits

While the journal does not rely solely on a fixed numerical threshold, manuscripts showing excessive similarity or clear evidence of unattributed copying will be rejected or returned to authors for clarification.

Actions in Case of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified, the journal may take actions including:

·         Immediate rejection of the manuscript.

·         Request for revision and proper citation.

·         Retraction of published articles.

·         Notification to authors’ institutions or funding bodies when necessary.

·         Temporary or permanent prohibition from future submissions.

Authors’ Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for properly citing all sources. Submitting a manuscript to JEEB indicates acceptance of this policy.

JEEB maintains a zero-tolerance approach toward plagiarism and strives to protect the credibility of scholarly communication.
