The Journal of Emerging Economics and Business (JEEB) upholds a rigorous, fair, and transparent peer review system to ensure the publication of high-quality and impactful scholarship. Every submission is evaluated based on its originality, analytical rigor, methodological robustness, and contribution to advancing knowledge in economics, business, management, and finance.
All manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editors. At this stage, submissions are assessed for alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, scholarly relevance, ethical compliance, and adherence to submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review (desk rejection).
JEEB applies strict publication ethics standards. Each manuscript is screened using similarity detection tools to identify potential plagiarism, redundant publication, or improper citation practices. Submissions that raise ethical concerns may be rejected or returned to authors for clarification.
Manuscripts that pass the preliminary screening are sent to independent expert reviewers under a double-blind review model, where both authors’ and reviewers’ identities remain anonymous. Typically, at least two reviewers are invited to evaluate the scientific merit, theoretical contribution, methodological validity, clarity, and relevance of the work.
Reviewers are asked to provide constructive, evidence-based assessments focusing on:
· Originality and novelty
· Theoretical and practical significance
· Research design and analytical methods
· Interpretation of results
· Quality of writing and organization
· Appropriateness of references
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor may reach one of the following decisions:
· Accept
· Minor Revision
· Major Revision
· Reject
The editorial team retains full authority over the final decision, ensuring independence, objectivity, and consistency with the journal’s standards.
Authors submitting revised manuscripts must provide a detailed response to reviewers’ comments. Revised papers may be returned to the original reviewers for further assessment to verify whether concerns have been adequately addressed.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to professional copyediting, layout preparation, and proofreading. Authors will review the proofs prior to final publication to ensure accuracy.
JEEB is committed to delivering a review process that is timely, impartial, and constructive. The journal recognizes the invaluable contribution of reviewers in safeguarding academic quality and strengthening the global research community.
