Author Guidelines

Thank you for considering the TATANUSA: Jurnal Transformasi Sektor Publik as a venue for publishing your scholarly work. Authors are requested to carefully read and follow these guidelines before submitting a manuscript. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision prior to the peer-review process.

1. General Requirements

The TATANUSA: Jurnal Transformasi Sektor Publik publishes original, high-quality, and unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submitted manuscripts should contribute to the advancement of knowledge in public administration, public policy, governance, public management, digital government, and public sector transformation.

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Systematic Literature Reviews
  • Meta-Analyses
  • Conceptual Papers
  • Policy Analysis Papers
  • Case Studies

2. Manuscript Language

Manuscripts should be written in English using clear, concise, and grammatically correct academic language.

Authors whose native language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission.


3. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official TATANUSA Article Template.

The manuscript should meet the following formatting requirements:

  • Paper size: A4
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Length: 6,000–8,500 words (approximately 15–25 pages)

4. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized in the following order:

  1. Title
  2. Author(s)
  3. Affiliation(s)
  4. Corresponding Author
  5. Abstract
  6. Keywords
  7. Introduction
  8. Research Method
  9. Results
  10. Discussion
  11. Conclusion
  12. Acknowledgments (optional)
  13. Funding Statement (if applicable)
  14. Conflict of Interest Statement
  15. References

5. Title

The title should:

  • Clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.
  • Be concise, informative, and specific.
  • Contain no more than 20 words.
  • Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

6. Author Information

Each manuscript should include:

  • Full name of each author
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Country
  • Email address
  • ORCID iD (recommended)

One corresponding author should be clearly identified.


7. Abstract

The abstract should consist of 150–250 words and briefly describe:

  • Background
  • Objective
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Do not include references, tables, figures, equations, or undefined abbreviations.


8. Keywords

Provide 3–6 keywords that accurately represent the manuscript. Keywords should be arranged alphabetically and should not merely repeat words already used in the title.


9. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should:

  • Be numbered consecutively.
  • Include concise titles.
  • Be cited within the text.
  • Be presented in editable format whenever possible.
  • Have sufficient resolution for publication.

Sources must be acknowledged where applicable.


10. Citation and References

The journal adopts the APA (7th Edition) citation and referencing style.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

Reference requirements:

  • At least 80% of references should be journal articles.
  • References should preferably have been published within the last 10 years, except for seminal works.
  • DOI numbers should be included whenever available.

11. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools may only be used to assist with language editing, grammar correction, spelling, or formatting.

AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, interpretation, and integrity of all submitted content. Any substantial use of AI should be disclosed appropriately within the manuscript.


12. Research Integrity

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The manuscript is original.
  • All sources are properly acknowledged.
  • The submitted work does not contain fabricated or falsified data.
  • All listed authors have made substantial scholarly contributions.
  • The manuscript complies with applicable ethical standards.

13. Funding Statement

Authors should disclose all financial support received for conducting the research.

If no funding was received, please state:

This research received no external funding.


14. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the research.

If no conflict exists, please state:

The authors declare no conflict of interest.


15. Acknowledgments

Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, or organizations that provided technical, financial, or academic support but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

This section is optional.


16. Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to make research data available through institutional or public repositories whenever possible.

Where data cannot be shared, authors should provide an appropriate explanation.


17. Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Journal Online Submission System (OJS).

Submissions sent by email or other means will not be processed.

Authors should ensure that all submission requirements have been fulfilled before submitting their manuscripts.
