Author Guidelines

Journal of Learning Innovation and Educational Technology (JLIET)

The Journal of Learning Innovation and Educational Technology (JLIET) publishes original research articles, literature reviews, and development studies that contribute to the advancement of learning innovation and educational technology. The journal serves as a platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, policymakers, and scholars to disseminate high-quality studies that promote innovative approaches to teaching, learning, assessment, and technology integration across educational settings.

JLIET welcomes manuscripts that present theoretical, empirical, and practical contributions in the fields of educational technology and learning innovation. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publication.

Manuscript Requirements

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts meet the following requirements:

  1. The manuscript is written in clear and academic English.
  2. The manuscript represents original work and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  3. The manuscript falls within the scope of the journal.
  4. The manuscript follows the journal template and formatting guidelines.
  5. The manuscript contains a minimum of 5,000 words and a maximum of 8,000 words, including references.
  6. Similarity index should not exceed 20% based on plagiarism detection software.
  7. References should primarily consist of recent scholarly publications, with at least 70% published within the last five years.
  8. At least 80% of references should be derived from peer-reviewed journal articles.

Manuscript Structure

Authors should organize their manuscripts according to the following structure:

Title

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the study. The title should not exceed 20 words and should avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

Author Information

Provide the full names of all authors without academic titles. Include institutional affiliation, city, country, ORCID ID (if available), and email address. One corresponding author must be clearly identified.

Abstract

The abstract should be written in English and contain between 150 and 250 words. It should briefly describe:

  • Background of the study
  • Research objective
  • Research methodology
  • Main findings
  • Conclusion

The abstract should be followed by three to five keywords.

Introduction

The introduction should explain the background of the study, identify research problems, review relevant literature, establish the research gap, highlight the novelty of the study, and state the research objectives.

Literature Review

This section should present relevant theories, concepts, empirical studies, and research findings related to the topic. Authors are encouraged to critically analyze previous studies and demonstrate the contribution of their work to the existing body of knowledge.

Method

The method section should clearly describe the research design, participants or research subjects, instruments, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques. Sufficient detail should be provided to allow replication of the study.

Results

The results section should present research findings objectively and systematically. Tables and figures should be clearly labeled and referenced within the text.

Discussion

The discussion should interpret the findings, compare them with previous studies, explain their significance, and discuss theoretical and practical implications.

Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings, address the research objectives, and present recommendations for future studies.

Acknowledgments (Optional)

Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding organizations that supported the research.

Funding Information (If Applicable)

Authors should disclose any funding received to support the research.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest related to the research.

References

All references must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.


Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and cited within the manuscript. Each table and figure must include a descriptive title or caption. Authors should ensure that all images and graphics are of high quality and suitable for publication.


Ethical Considerations

Authors are expected to adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics. Manuscripts involving human participants should indicate that appropriate ethical approval and informed consent procedures have been obtained where necessary.

Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research practice will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.


Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess suitability for the journal's scope and compliance with submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be subjected to a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers.

The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers' recommendations and editorial evaluation.


Open Access Policy

JLIET provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports the global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:
